Crystal Project is developed by Litchee Lab, an innovative educational team based in Shenzhen, China. Dating back to 2014, Litchee Lab has implemented diverse educational programs in local communities, including open makerspaces, STEAM curriculum development with local school partners, and 1v1 student innovative project incubation.
We are living in an era of complete globalization. Education is no different than other fields such as supply chain, and also runs at a high speed, top-down model. Grounded in countless cases we’ve witnessed in preceding projects, we see our next generation, students who are supposed to be the ultimate aim of education, are treated as unconscious subjects and passively receive arrangement in this top-down model.

Inspired by the PITO-DIDO model, we see a possibility to amend the current system, and empower students more autonomy in designing their own paths to explore the world. Here comes the idea of Crystal Project.
